2016 Cape Town Cycle Tour: 6 March

Several of our regulars at An African Villa are riding again this year. Welcome back guys! Cape Town – The world’s largest individually-timed cycle race is happening on Sunday 6 March and this year it won’t be the shortened version but the whole 109km – the 2015 race was shortened due to raging fires at the time.

For all guests of An African Villa who are departing our shores on Sunday the 6th of March, BE WARNED, THERE ARE EXTENSIVE ROAD CLOSURES ON THE AIRPORT ROUTE TO ACCOMMODATE THE THROUSANDS OF CYCLISTS WHO WILL BE RIDING THIS YEAR. BEst to make use of the alternative N1/M5/M3 route option and leave at least an hour early!

The Kirstenbosch Craft and Food Market celebrates it’s 25th year and invites guests to shop in boutique stalls for clothing, jewellery, pottery, and wood carvings. While you shop, you can listen to University of Cape Town’s musicians or enjoy a picnic on the lawns to end the day. Children are welcome.
